Brunch is my favourite meal. You can have it sweet, you can have it savoury. Brilliant! Back home in Canberra I would go out for brunch all the time. In England, my budget limited these outings. What also limited it was the choice. The English don't do sweet breakfasts. Cafes offer English breakfasts and sometimes Eggs Benedict, but they don't do pancakes, waffles or french toast. The one time I cooked J my amazing french toast with cinnamon, strawberries, banana and vanilla yoghurt, he declared that it was too early for dessert.
I made up for lost time this week. Scott and I have been having big meals every morning and I've been enjoying the sweet options.
